1. Discover Šnekutis: A Taste of Tradition

With three locations throughout Vilnius, Šnekutis is a must-visit for anyone wanting to experience authentic Lithuanian cuisine at reasonable prices. Skipping this culinary hotspot means missing out on essential dishes that define local flavors. Start your meal with a delicious soup (around €3-4), then share signature dishes like kotlets (pork meatballs), cepelinai (potato dumplings stuffed with meat), and potato pudding, each costing about €5-6. You can enjoy a hearty meal for approximately €10-12. Plus, they offer an extensive beer selection starting at just €2!

2. Busi Trecias: Where Flavor Meets Affordability

For another fantastic spot serving traditional Lithuanian dishes, head to Busi Trecias. This restaurant is known for its budget-friendly options, making it perfect for sharing multiple dishes among friends. A standout offering is their whole pig's ear, which is as adventurous as it sounds! Pair it with their famous potato pancakes with sour cream (around €7) and fried bread with garlic (approximately €3). They even serve giant cocktails, with the White Russian being a popular choice—rich and satisfying!

3. Gyvas Baras: Vegan Delights Await

If you're on the hunt for a vegan restaurant, look no further than Gyvas Baras. This highly-rated eatery offers a comforting soup of the day for just €2.50, along with various main dishes like falafel with hummus, tofu tikka masala, and hearty veggie burgers, all priced around €5-6. To satisfy your sweet tooth, don't forget to try their vegan desserts, which range from €1.50 to €3. It’s a wonderful place to enjoy healthy food at a budget-friendly price!

4. Chačapuri Sodu: A Georgian Culinary Experience

During our travels, we fell in love with Georgian cuisine, and Chačapuri Sodu does not disappoint. This cozy restaurant features the famous kachapuri, a cheesy bread dish that is a staple in Georgian cooking. Expect to pay around €10-12 for the main courses, which are both filling and affordable. They also offer soups, main dishes, and desserts, making it an ideal place for a satisfying Georgian feast.

5. Etno Dvaras: A Local Favorite

Considered one of the best places to eat well on a budget in Vilnius, Etno Dvaras has earned a loyal following. We loved it so much that we returned for another meal! Their cepelinai is a must-try, served with sour cream and crispy bacon for just €7. On our second visit, we enjoyed a spicy fish dish with mashed potatoes and spinach for €12, alongside a traditional platter of Lithuanian snacks including fried bread, cheeses, and cured meats for about €10. The ambiance is charming, featuring a lovely terrace, though it can be challenging to snag a table outside.

6. Holigans: Vegetarian Goodness

While we didn't have the chance to visit Holigans, it comes highly recommended for its creative vegetarian menu and excellent reviews. Expect main dishes to be priced between €10-14, with an array of starters and vegan desserts that look utterly delicious. It’s the perfect spot for a casual meal that doesn’t compromise on flavor or quality.

7. Jurgis ir Drakonas: Pizza Paradise

With glowing reviews on Tripadvisor, Jurgis ir Drakonas is a hotspot for pizza lovers. Their pizzas, while slightly pricier (around €7 for a Margherita and €10 for specialty options), are worth it! We shared a pizza along with several snacks, including BBQ meatballs, homemade dumplings, and a comforting soup, totaling about €20 for two people. Everything was delicious, making this a great spot to satisfy your cravings!
