Where to sleep in Kotor

One of the first stops on our Montenegrin adventure was Kotor, and it turned out to be a highlight of our trip. We arrived via Podgorica, not expecting much, but the moment we set foot in Kotor, our faces lit up with joy. The enchanting atmosphere and historical significance of this town are simply breathtaking. Our choice of lodging, the Radulovic Apartments, truly exemplified the warmth and charm of local hospitality.

About a decade ago, Nemanja and his family embarked on a heartfelt journey, creating these apartments filled with love and care. From the first moment we stepped inside, we felt right at home. Honestly, we could have extended our stay for a month if our travel schedule hadn't beckoned us onward. The apartment we stayed in was incredibly spacious, featuring a generous double bedroom, a cozy living room, a full bathroom, a dining area, a sofa bed, satellite TV, air conditioning, and even a Nespresso machine for the coffee lovers!

What truly sets this accommodation apart is the breathtaking view from the terrace. Stepping through the last door, we were greeted by a stunning panorama of Kotor Bay, a scene so magnificent it felt almost surreal. The sunsets here are a cinematic experience, painting the sky with hues that linger in memory long after the trip is over.

During our stay, we seized the opportunity to enjoy perhaps our last swim of the year. The crystal-clear waters, calm and inviting, offered the perfect temperature for a refreshing dip. The experience surpassed all our expectations!

Location and tranquility: Exploring the surroundings

The Radulovic Apartments are located in Dobrota, conveniently positioned between Kotor and Perast, two of Montenegro's most picturesque towns. The strategic location allows guests to explore both towns with ease, and the property even offers bicycles for rent to make the journey more adventurous.

The ride to Kotor takes around 15 to 20 minutes, while Perast is slightly further away. However, the scenic route is dotted with stunning landscapes, making it a perfect opportunity for leisurely stops to capture the beauty of the area.

  • Enjoy the tranquility of nature around the apartments.
  • Access to stunning views of the bay and surrounding mountains.
  • Engage in various outdoor activities like cycling and swimming.

The Radulovic Apartments are an oasis of peace, surrounded by lush greenery and just a stone's throw from the sea. Each evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, we couldn’t help but feel grateful for the serene environment and the warm hospitality provided by Nemanja and his family. They shared fascinating insights about Montenegro, enriching our travel experience even further. We hope to cross paths with them again in some other corner of the world!
