From its vibrant atmosphere to the warmth of its people, every moment felt like a rediscovery of a familiar place. When it came to accommodation, our choice was equally rewarding. We stayed at Pansion River, a family-run hotel with over a century of history, providing a unique perspective on the city's heritage.
Located just a stone's throw from the city hall and nestled alongside the Miljacka River, this hotel offers a prime location for exploring Sarajevo. The bustling city center is merely a three-minute walk away, making it an ideal base for tourists eager to immerse themselves in the local culture and history.
The room we occupied was modern and well-equipped, boasting amenities such as satellite TV and complimentary Wi-Fi. We were particularly enchanted by the terrace overlooking the river, where we could unwind and absorb the tranquil surroundings. Currently, the hotel is undergoing renovations to enhance its offerings, including the addition of new apartments, promising an even more delightful experience in the near future!
At the top of the building, you’ll find the renowned Bazeni Restaurant, a local favorite that has maintained its reputation over the years. On Saturdays, the restaurant hosts live performances featuring local musicians and dance troupes, creating a lively atmosphere that enhances your dining experience. Breakfast, included with your stay, is served here, ensuring you start your day on the right foot.
The hospitality extended by the owners and staff was exceptional; their kindness and attentiveness made our stay truly memorable. We hope to return someday to relive the magic of Sarajevo!

- Location: Bentbaša, Sarajevo. To get there from the train station, simply take tram number 1 and disembark at City Hall. From there, follow the river (without crossing it) for about 200 meters.
