1. Exploring the Canary Islands and Madeira on a Cruise
Imagine sailing through the legendary Strait of Gibraltar, with Morocco on one side and the Iberian Peninsula on the other, as you immerse yourself in the azure waters of the Atlantic. This cruise offers a delightful escape, visiting beautiful islands like Madeira, the Azores, and the stunning landscapes of Gran Canaria, Tenerife, and Lanzarote.
Picture yourself worry-free, soaking up the sun on these fortunate islands, blessed with pleasant weather year-round. These cities are rich in history and legend, showcasing breathtaking natural formations sculpted by Mother Nature herself.
- Madeira: Known for its dramatic cliffs and lush landscapes.
- Gran Canaria: A perfect blend of beaches and mountainous terrain.
- Tenerife: Home to the majestic Teide volcano.
- Lanzarote: Famous for its unique volcanic landscapes.
2. Norwegian Fjords: A Must-Experience Cruise in Europe
No list of cruise destinations would be complete without mentioning the Norwegian Fjords. Here, you will find breathtaking coastlines where erosion has created awe-inspiring landscapes, leading to UNESCO World Heritage recognition.
On this cruise, expect a sensory overload of stunning waterfalls, majestic mountains, and expansive forests, not to mention starry skies that will take your breath away. There’s also time to explore some of Norway's most captivating towns, including Bergen, Trondheim, Tromsø, and Ålesund.
Don’t forget to pack a light sweater, even if you’re cruising in August; the northern air can be quite brisk! Remember, the midnight sun may shine, but it doesn't bring warmth.
3. Journey Through the Greek Islands on a Cruise
The Mediterranean has several breathtaking cruise routes, but few rival the beauty and richness of a journey through the Greek islands. You will visit some of the Mediterranean’s most historically significant sites while enjoying breathtaking scenery along the way.
A few years ago, we had the chance to take this incredible trip. We departed from Venice and visited Split in Croatia before embarking on a fabulous route through several Greek islands: Corfu, Crete, Santorini, and Rhodes.
We brought home memories of some of the most spectacular sunsets, historic sites, crystal-clear beaches, and charming old towns adorned with blue and white flags. We also indulged in a few gyros, which were definitely worth any bikini operation we had planned—some experiences are simply unforgettable!

4. Caribbean Cruise: An Unforgettable Experience
For the past two decades, we’ve had a growing desire to explore the Caribbean. Whether it’s from Mexico to Honduras, the Antilles to Nicaragua, or the Dominican Republic to Panama, the prospect is undeniably enticing.
To narrow it down, if we had to recommend a cruise, it would be one that explores the Antilles and sails the Caribbean waters like modern-day pirates, stopping at legendary islands such as Antigua, Barbados, Grenada, Guadeloupe, and St. Lucia.
Expect pleasant temperatures, turquoise waters, palm trees everywhere, and, in true pirate style, a drink in hand—though I personally prefer mojitos and piña coladas!
5. Cruise Through the Emirates: A Blend of Tradition and Modernity
As a child, I dreamed of visiting this part of the world on a flying carpet, ideally alongside Aladdin. But if I can cruise through the Emirates with my partner Robert, I’m not complaining!
A cruise through the Emirates typically includes stops at Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, and Muscat. You’ll experience cities at the edge of the desert, with skyscrapers vying to touch the sky, markets rich in spices, and mosques that fill the streets with the sound of prayer, all while witnessing a curious blend of tradition and modernity. Don’t miss out!
6. A Unique Adventure: Nile River Cruise
Not every journey has to be across oceans; consider a river cruise, especially when the destination is one of the most mysterious, fascinating, and spectacular countries: Egypt.
A couple of years ago, we sailed the tranquil waters of the Nile for four days, exploring ancient temples, enjoying dreamy sunsets, and being pleasantly surprised by towel animals waiting for us in our cabin (spoiler: they were towel creations!).

7. World Cruise: The Ultimate Journey for the Adventurous
It’s clear that a world cruise isn’t for everyone—it’s not cheap, and you’ll need quite a few vacation days to embark on this epic journey. Expect to set aside about 70 to 120 days and a budget ranging from €7,000 to €14,000.
There are various routes, but they all share one commonality: you'll step foot on different continents and in exotic cities where attractions abound. If you’re lucky enough to afford it, experiencing a world tour on a floating city should be on every traveler’s bucket list.
What’s the best cruise in the world for you? We’re eager to explore the fjords and lose ourselves in Caribbean waters, though honestly, all these destinations sound incredible.
