In addition to its stunning views, the Balcón de Europa features a large glass floor that allows you to look down and appreciate the sea below. The name of this viewpoint comes from a historic visit by King Alfonso XII, who exclaimed, “This is the Balcony of Europe!” His memory is honored with a statue overlooking the sea.

Experience the Mirador del Bendito
Many believe that the Balcón de Europa is the only viewpoint in Nerja, but the Mirador del Bendito offers equally stunning views. Located high on a cliff, this spot provides an incredible perspective of Playa Carabeillo.

Embark on a Tapas Route
No visit to Nerja would be complete without indulging in its delicious cuisine. The town is famous for its tapas, and you can find some of the best options along Calle Pintada and Calle Almirante Ferrándiz. We recommend trying:
- El Pulguilla - Known for its fried squid.
- Redondo - Famous for its chorizo al infierno.
- La Puntilla - A go-to for fried fish.
If you prefer a beachside meal, the Chiringuito de Ayo on Playa de Burriana is a renowned spot for paella.
